COMMUNICATION OF BANK DETAILS TO CUSTOMERS

Recently, we have become aware of some very sophisticated hacking techniques that are deployed by online fraudsters who have developed ways of eavesdropping and subsequently mimicking emails in order to direct funds away from the intended recipients.

In order to protect ourselves and our customers from this kind of activity, we now require that no bank details are to be sent to customers by email unless it is absolutely necessary due to the customer not residing locally.

For customers purchasing cars, all bank details for customer payments are shown on the DealerWeb Pre-Collection Checklist which all customers will receive in person as part of their Vehicle Order Pack.

For our Nissan branches, which use Contact Advantage, we require that we replicate the same principles as above.

As part of the sales experience and process, please ensure that customers are directed to the correct bank details and where they can be found.
