A TEAM MEMBER STATEMENT & ANNOUNCEMENT

Mark Greenfield Announces His Retirement 29th March 2021

Dear Team Members,

I write to you today with the news that Mark Greenfield, our Group Aftersales Director will retire from his role.

Mark joined the company in 1981 as a Parts Assistant at Frome (then called Westward Motors) before relocating to Bath with the Renault brand at the former Westward Motors premises close to the Bear Flat (on the Wells Road). When the business outgrew those premises, Mark moved to the newly built Westward Renault dealership on the Lower Bristol Road as the Parts Manager.

Mark was a key driving force in the growth of the parts business, especially that of the trade, and took his first group role as Group Parts Operations Manager in order to co-ordinate and grow the business still further. Mark was then invited to join the Board of Directors as Group Aftersales Director, a wide and diverse role encompassing all aftersales operations; a position that he has held to this day.

During his time working for company, Mark has clocked up 40 years of distinguished service and has contributed immensely to a wide spectrum of company life and success. I will be forever grateful for the commitment Mark has given over the years, which is much valued and appreciated.

Going forwards, we are now in a "transition phase", with Board members actively engaged in and focused on managing Mark's retirement and the time beyond.

In the near future, we will communicate directly with Team Members regarding how this will work in terms of reporting structures, the handover of responsibilities, and any related matters.

On behalf of each and every Team Member, I'd like to re-iterate our thanks to Mark for all that he has done and achieved, as he winds down his time in the company and passes the batons to others, who will take on the tasks in hand.

Please share with your teams as appropriate.

Yours sincerely,

Jeremy
