LATEST ADVERTISING SCAM
This just received from the Wessex Chambers
of Commerce..
“It has been reported by one of
our members that there is a telephone sales scam in operation
in Trowbridge. A marketing company, selling advertising
space in a publication called Safeguard, are phoning businesses
in the area saying they are ringing on behalf of either
the Police and Fire Association or 'your local police
service'. The phone number they give is for a marketing
company in Liverpool. The local police have confirmed
that this is nothing to do with them whatsoever. The company
are basically just trying to sell ad space!”
Please do not agree to anything
if contacted by this “company”.
